Teal Witch / Wizard Hat

Supplies

  • Basic black witch / wizard style hat (party supply store / dollar store)
  • Teal tulle
  • Sparkly black tulle
  • Scissors

Method

1. Cut a long strip of teal and glittery black tulle.

2. Wrap pieces of tulle around the base of the hat, and tie into a bow.

No-Sew Cape with Hood

Every wizard or witch needs an easy no-sew hooded cape!

  • Black or teal fabric

Wizard’s Wand

Wand Supplies

  • Piece of dowel
  • Black duct tape
  • Teal duct tape

Wand Method

1. Cut black and teal duct tape into ¼-inch wide strips.

2. Start with the black duct tape and wrap your piece of dowel with the tape in a spiral design, leaving room between each row for the teal duct tape.

3. Repeat step 2 with teal duct tape until you get to the bottom of the dowel.

4. Cover ends of dowel with a small piece of black duct tape.

Witch’s Broom

Broom Supplies

  • Longer piece of dowel
  • Black duct tape
  • Teal duct tape
  • 1/2 yard black tulle
  • 1/2 yard teal tulle
  • Black ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue

Broom Method

1. Cut black and teal duct tape into ¼-inch wide strips.

2. Start with the black duct tape and wrap your piece of dowel with the tape in a spiral design, leaving room between each row for the teal duct tape.

3. Repeat step 2 with teal duct tape until you get to the bottom of the dowel.

4. Cover ends of dowel with a small piece of black duct tape.

5. Cut black and teal tulle into 1/2-inch wide by 12-inch long strips. You’ll need 10 strips of each color.

6. Fold a piece of tulle in half and tie a piece of black ribbon around the top leaving about 1 inch of folded tulle above the knot. Tie ribbon into a bow.

7. Repeat step 6 until all pieces of black and teal tulle are tied with black ribbon.

8. Apply a small dab of craft glue to back side of knotted tulle and attach to end of tapped dowel.

9. Repeat step 8, circling around the bottom end of dowel, until all pieces of tied tulle are attached.

Extra Magic

You can also roll your wand or broom handle in craft glue then roll the handle in a tray of glitter, then leave to dry. Or you can add a piece of gold- or silver-colored ribbon around your wand for a bit of extra magic.
