Milk Allergy Alert: Recall of Frozen Chicken Fried Rice Skillet Meals

Choice Canning Company is recalling over 35,000 pounds of frozen Fusia Asian chicken fried rice skillet meals. This is due to a labeling glitch that led to milk, a Top 8 allergen, not being declared among the product’s ingredients, according to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

The products were distributed in retail locations in California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.

The following skillet meals, which were produced on Feb. 13 and Feb. 19, 2019 with the establishment number “P-45217” inside the USDA mark of inspection, are subject of the recall:

– 22 oz. printed polybag of “FUSIA Asian Inspirations, Chicken Fried Rice, Complete Skillet Meal,” with a packaging date of Feb. 13, 2019, and a Best if Used By date of Aug. 13, 2010 on the label.

– 22 oz. printed polybag of “FUSIA Asian Inspirations, Chicken Fried Rice, Complete Skillet Meal,” with a packaging date of Feb. 19, 2019 and a Best if Used by date of Aug. 19, 2020 on the label.

There have been no reports of allergic reactions to the product.
