Disability Services
  1. Doctor’s note with medical documentation required for accommodations?
    No. Administrators partner with the Disability Center on campus to ensure any accommodations necessary for a student’s health and well-being.
  2. Paperwork filed with disabilities office required for accommodations?
    It depends. If the needed accommodation is beyond normal practice (e.g. purchase of a specific item or preparation of special meals), then registration with the Disability Center is required. Process begins with consulation with student to determine the extent of the accommodation.
  3. Food allergy fair or similar event at start of year?
    Yes, we hold several orientations at the beginning of the year.

Dining Services
  1. Dietitian or dining services staff available for a meeting before applying?
    Yes. There is a department dietitian, plus 3 dietitians located in residence locations.
  2. Is ingredient or allergen information onsite/online?

  3. Dining staff trained regularly on food allergy, celiac disease, cross-contact?
    Yes, we hold workshop sessions on the topic frequently and I visit each location once per semester to review with full time and management staff.

    Yes, upon request.
  6. Separate utensils and separate area in kitchen for
    food allergy/celiac orders?

    Yes, upon request for utensils. Do not have a segregated prep location.

    Yes, but recommendations for locations are made for the student’s benefit.

    Yes, but recommendations for locations are made for the student’s benefit.
