One of the recalled entrees. This recall is due to a labeling error that resulted in package misbranding since milk, a Top 8 allergen, is an ingredient of these dishes, but was not declared among the product’s ingredients.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) said the specific products that are being recalled are the frozen P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Chicken Pad Thai and P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Chicken Fried Rice.
The products being recalled show:
- An establishment number of “P115,” above the nutritional statement;
- “Best By” dates of Sept. 26, 2019 through April 5, 2020;
- See the full chart with a list of the frozen food products subject to this recall.
The USDA says that only the P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Brand products listed are affected. The recall does not include any product sold at P.F. Chang’s restaurants. Conagra says that a routine label verification check led to the discovery that the Home Menu products in question did not declare milk on the label as they should have.
The USDA says there have been no reports of allergic reactions or other adverse events due to consumption of these products. The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service advises consumers with milk allergies can return the products to the store where they were purchased for a refund or simply throw these items away.
