I don't understand why they didn't announce this when they converted last year?

I feel a lot misled. I purposely spent the bigger dollars on a SIGG bottle because it was "safer". My friend who carted hers around all through her pregnancy won't be amused.

The owner is trying to make a distinction between no presence of BPA and just no leaching from a low-level that's present. If it's there, how do you know whether it eventually leaches?

The risk may be low, but how the company handled it ends up looking sneaky. Call me really not impressed.

When I first read about the BPA issue, I was slightly suspicious of the 'lining' of the interior of the bottle, so I opted for the Kleen Kanteen stainless steel bottles instead of Sigg even though I liked that Sigg were swiss-made instead of made in China.

Like the company says, the risk is probably low, but I'm also not impressed with the way they handled it.
