Talking Allergies

Received a flyer in the mail yesterday, that they are hosting a presentation on how to become a Planters Peanut Vending Machine distribututor. Yup - on of those machines that shoots out a handful peanuts. That's gross - with or without a peanut allergy. Here's a link to the registration.

I don't know what to do! Short of showing up at the event with handouts on peanut allergy statistics, and risking getting into an altercation with the organizers - I'm not sure how I can influence this. There is no phone number or site to go except to register.

Anyone else seen or hear of this?

All I can think is to wonder how long before the peanuts become rancid.

I don't imagine you would become a tycoon like they promise shlepping bulk nuts around. I haven't seen any of them in the last couple of years. About 5 years ago, there was one in our skating rink, and I phoned and explained how dangerous to have loose nuts like that and they were very understanding and changed what it was filled with to some candy.

Seems dumb to do in this day and age.

Like a lawsuit waiting to happen.
