Talking Allergies

Does anyone have practical tips to make the camping experience safer for a group of teens. Mine is the only on with diagnosed food allergies (peanuts/nuts)
The girls have agreed to no foods that even have may contains and plan to shop together. A menu has been worked out ahead.
My daughter will use her own separate pots,pans, dishes and cutlery. She will wash her dishes first. We have checked (and sampled)ingredients for Smores.
She plans to have 4 epipens.

if you have any tips that have worked for you I would love to hear them.

Biggest thing to me on such trips: know where the closest hospital or health-care clinic is. Tell your daughter, not like we expect you're going to need it, but if you ever did, it will save precious time (most important with allergic reactions) to know where to go.

Thank you for the feedback. My daughter decided to create a folder to take with them on the trip with emergency information and gave epipen training to her friends complete with the videos from the Epipen Canada website. Her friends have been very supportive.They had training a few years ago but hadn't been updated with the new trainer. Very reassuring to me. My daughter also to a step of checking that the ambulance does service the provincial park where they will camp and to know that there is 911 service.
Home baking to share was sent. She is making the pancakes batter for the rest. One friend avoids gluten so will have her own separate mix and pan.
Just got a call that they have arrived safely. Yeah!
Those many stages along the way as they grow leave a parent wondering how their allergic children will be able to fully participate.Where there is a will, there is a way.

Oh great! I typed a long message about cell phone dead zones and contacting the ambulance service in that area to see what they recommended regarding staying put or driving out to meet them.
I think I lost the internet connection when I tried to send it because it isn't here.

Your daughter sounds like she has her stuff together and she has a great supportive group of friends!
